A 16 mm bar weighs about 1.8 times a 12 mm bar per metre.

How each job is measured
Window grills are quoted per window from its size and design — see window grill price. Gates are quoted from the clear opening and the way they open — sliding vs swing gate. Railings go by length and height (steel railings), and roof trusses by span and roof shape (steel roof trusses).

There is no official welder rate. The legal floor is the minimum wage: ₱542 a day in Class B towns such as Ronda and ₱582 in Expanded Metro Cebu (Class A) from 14 Oct 2026 (Wage Order ROVII-27).
